Marina Dunes was our first RV site. Full of excitement. Deb insisted that we might want to try a fewe "backings up" before we made the journey over the hill. We turned into the parking lot of the local community college and managed to destroy a perfectly good traffic code and my fragile confidence. After a few embarassing attempts devine intervention... Officer Matt. He dismounted his electric scooter ("zero to 60 in four seconds") and pariently walked and walked and walked us through the mechanics of trailer reverse-inside-out steering.
After the lessons from Officer Matt we bravely drove over the hill and quickly (too quickly) arrived at Marina Dunes.
The Haiducks were there. Waiting. Dick assumed a high visibility position in order to best view what he was sure would be an endless try-and-try-again effort to get the trailer into the site.
But, miracle of Officer Matt miracles, all 25 feet of Cricket slid into the site, first time, perfectly positioned... just like we knew what we were doing. Fake it until you make it.
